Social Function An argumentative text uses evidence and facts to prove whether or not a thesis is true, so two sides of an issues are presented in it. This text covers the most important arguments for and against. B. Text Structure Thesis : Contains writer's opinion about something or introduces topic and indicates  writer'sposition.
